Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The books I am requesting for our diverse population of students will update classroom libraries with texts that are current, engaging and represent the cultures and differences we celebrate. The incorporation of graphic novels will help encourage even our most reluctant readers to get lost in a good book! The best way to prove to children that reading is fun is the get the right books in their hands!

By getting high quality texts in the hands of our student champions, we will build vocabulary, teach life lessons and social emotional skills, teach about culture and history, and grow an overall love for reading.
