My Students

Our incredible students come from a variety of demographic and socioeconomic backgrounds. They have a wide range of different academic abilities. As students, they are very eager to learn and grow each day.

Their effort and enthusiasm that they exhibit is infectious.

Focused on a growth mindset, our students persevere through life's challenges with diligence and optimism. These young people are also members of a strong school community that make invaluable contributions each and every day. My students exhibit a confidence that will serve them well as they progress through their education.

My Project

These chairs will enhance the reading atmosphere in our literacy class. This is the first year for this class and many of our students are emerging as readers. By creating a relaxing and comfortable environment, our goal is to increase their interest in reading. In turn this will contribute to their intrinsic motivation to improve their existing skills.

Providing additional seating choices will enhance my students' desire to read at school.

If they begin to associate reading as an enjoyment rather than a chore, their literacy skills will begin to strengthen. Strong literacy skills are the foundation to success as a learner.
