Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

These kids have amazing imagination and great amounts of energy, the covid has really impacted them in class rooms. When they come out to recess they act out and get in trouble which can lead to them missing school because of suspensions, or visiting in the office for fighting. These kids need to be in class learning

My Project

The update and adding of better equipment in these areas help with them emotional state in the classroom. As a student is better at focusing in class when they can go out to play, get energy out and release frustration by playing sports or swinging rather than by fighting and getting suspended for bad behavior.

The students have nothing but one playset and an old parking lot to play on .

The older kids would benefit from them basketball hoops as they are more interested in that sport. As well the 1-2 will be interested in the soccer goal as all they do the entire recess is play soccer up against fence that backs to a major road. Lastly the Kindergartners will benefit from the swing set as they have a tiny playset and a whole area of grass. They are the ones that get in the most trouble. These kids will never forget those who help them play when they have the time to play.
