My Project

I am an occupational therapist working in a public school district servicing special needs students in grades PreK-5.

Each student has a unique learning profile which may require a variety of sensory regulation strategies and /or equipment to facilitate improved participation in social interactions and learning activities.

Age appropriate fine motor and perceptual motor materials will help students to manage emotional and sensory regulation so that they may more readily access learning opportunities within the school environment.

In addition to improving social interactions and play skills, students will also be addressing fine motor planning, grasp patterns, bilateral motor coordination, grip strength, sustained attention and task completion.
