Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a great group of 5th grade students making progress towards their Reading and Math year-end goals. With the New Year we are looking at how far we've come and setting our eyes on the prize(s). We had a difficult start to the year because of personal loss in my family.

Creating the physical learning space didn't happen in August, it is happening now.

With a wonderful paraeducator, I finally have time to get things accomplished like refreshing ugly brown boards with bulletin paper and creating a classroom economy where students can purchase rewards for outstanding behavior.

These materials will renew our treasure chest and hopefully renew the motivation for students to follow established procedures.
