My Project

This project will bring the introduction of a curated selection of novels that introduce various genres, writing styles, and diverse perspectives, such as Clap When You Land, Ender's Game, and Looking for Alaska. This project will honor the diverse perspectives in our classroom and expand the world view of our students.

By offering such a range of genres, even the most reluctant readers can be enticed into the world of their book in this classroom!

To support the joys of reading, students can also use globes to help identify where the voices in their books are coming from. Fun bookmarks help the students feel committed as readers. A reading stand and paperweight will allow the teacher to model silent reading, while still having papers organized and hands free to jump in and conference with students who need help finding a book.
