I was able to get additional items because a couple were no longer available. I received the items before school started and was very excited as I unpacked them. I was sure my students would enjoy all the options during Outside Time. \r\n We have been in school a little more than five weeks. As of today, I have introduced all the new playground items except the Toss and Catch balls and paddles. Students were especially excited about the walking bucket stilts! Only one student had seen them before, so most had a lot to figure out as far as how to use them. Students spent a lot of time coordinating balance and lifting their feet and buckets at the same time. I was impressed with their level of determination. \r\n I am already seeing improvement in balance, coordination and confidence. Students feel proud when they are successful trying new activities. I look forward to seeing my students grow further in balance, coordination, core strength, spatial awareness, and aerobic activity. \r\n These large motor items will be used all year and students will benefit in countless ways!
