My students need the SMART Board 75" LED Display to help discover and develop their passion and greatness within themselves to impact this global society around them.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach at a model school that incorporates performing arts, visual arts, coding, computer science, financial literacy, and STEM (STEAM) within the curriculum. Our urban school receives federal funding for programs that provide free breakfast and lunch for every student, and Title I services to economically disadvantaged boys and girls.
We are a class which includes military families, gifted/talented students, ESL/ELL students, inclusion/special education students, and the tech savvy.
My students are energetic and very busy within the classroom. Even with parental support, I would love to say that my students have everything that they need to be successful. But they don't. We are preparing students for college, the workforce, and the world beyond, so they can have a better life.
My Project
Connected educational experiences is what we need to create and design in our learning environments. Students need to be able to work, create and experience seamlessly together with the world around them. As educators, we are always trying to integrate engaging learning opportunities with differentiated instruction. Students need to interact, assimilate, evaluate, and reflect on their learning with peers, facilitators, family, and community. I am requesting the SMART Board 75" LED Display with IQ technology and Learning Suite software.
Teaching, technology, and learning are transforming education and collaboration in the classroom for all students and every learning style is necessary.
This SMART board will be the digital heart of my students' learning experience. Every device currently in our classroom will be compatible and connect with this interactive display and software. My students will be able to diagram mathematical equations and share their critical thinking and problem-solving skills without leaving their work space by sharing and syncing with the SMART board. Everything from mini-lessons, eBooks, videos, simulations, and game-based activities can be demonstrated on the touch, LED screen. Class notes, anchor charts, and lectures can be recorded, saved, and shared within Edmodo, SeeSaw, and Google Classroom for parents to use, assist, and support their children at home. I am trying to revolutionize my students' academic learning while bringing our educational setting into this amazing, global society.
