My Students

Many of the students in my class come from low-income families where every day needs are a daily struggle. Some of these students are in foster care or living in hotels. School is there safe place! The coronavirus has not only kept these kids from attending in-person learning but also it has kept them away from their safe place.

These students strive to learn every day!

Now, that we are back to in-person learning the students come to school every day with a smile on their little faces! They are so excited to be back at school. The kids missed out on so much learning last year. I want to be to fill in their learning gaps so they can have a successful year.

My Project

We only have two playgrounds at our school and we have 6 classes that go to recess at the same time. Due to covid and safety, only one class is allowed on the playground at a time. Therefore, the other classes are playing in the grass, bus lot or on the field. We are in desperate need of engaging things to do while we are at recess. The kids work so hard at school each day, they truly deserve to enjoy their free time! These kids would be so very excited to have some brand new equiment!
