Hello! I'm a first year Second Grade teacher here in Polk County Florida. I have a very active class this year that consists of 12 boys and 5 girls. Everyone looks forward to recess every day and since I'm a new teacher we don't have any toys to play with during recess. They would love to have some fun things to expend some energy and look forward to every day. I have students who love to stay active by throwing balls around during recess and play fun games with each other.
My Project
Sharing and interacting in a group is a huge part of second grade. At recess and in the classroom I love to teach my students how to share with one another and work together.
My students always ask for items to play with and share with their friends at recess.
Simple things like passing the ball to one another teach them lifelong skills. They learn to communicate their next move and they work on their social skills when playing with one another. I love to see my students playing games with one another and this carries over into the classroom, helping them build strong relationships. When they are working together everything flows better as a whole.
