Rebuilding Black Excellence Collection For School Library

My Project

Given the fact that our library was shut down for over ten years, most of the books in our school collection were outdated and/or problematic. This resulted in an almost non-existent collection of books.

I want to re curate a collection that represents today's members of Black Excellence.

This would allow students to learn more about the history of African Americans in society.

Given it is close to Black History Month I wanted to emphasize the importance of books that represent my school's demographics and population. This will allow students to feel inspired and encourage them to read books about people who are similar to them.
