My students need Write & Wipe markers to display their work and receive feedback from their peers immediately, as well as a timer to help them self-regulate.

Challenging and engaging, my students are determined to hold me to the same high standards I expect of them. During advisory, as they work to decide the type of person they would like to become, they ask for additional academic time because they believe that a strong academic background is an important part of being a successful adult. They understand content but need assistance with some of the basics and are working hard to improve mastery.
If the learning target for the day is met, they are now asking, "What's next?" Lack of mastery has students reluctant to forge forward sometimes.
"What grade level is this skill," is what they ask as they request an advisory activity. "This was on the MAP test and I didn't know how to do it." Hungry yet apprehensive is how describe the change I have witnessed in my students since receiving them in September.
The dedication to hard work and perseverance through difficulty has increased and continues to unfold before my eyes daily. With your help, this group of 6th graders would like to be THE 8th grade Algebra class in two years.
Our classroom has 4 white board tables which students use to pose questions, display their math work, and communicate with their peers. Each student needs his or her own Write & Wipe marker daily to work and provide assistance. Using the markers for 3 classes of students, 5 days per week, means the markers will dry out and need to be replaced often. Use of the white board tables makes class more engaging and increases the number of opportunities for students to learn from one another.
Growing up in the age of text messaging & social media, students receiving feedback immediately is important.
There are only 50 minutes in a class period. The Reusable Write & Wipe Pockets will allow students to share their work with the class and receive immediate feedback from their seats. The Giant Classroom Timer will encourage students to monitor the remaining time work.
