My Students

The students at our school in MA come from very diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. Nearly half of the students in our school are considered to be economically disadvantaged, and almost 60% of our students are considered High Needs students. We have over 25% English Language learners and 46.2% of our students come to us with a first language other than English. I appreciate any and all support from generous donors to help these wonderful and engaging students succeed!

Many of our students have sensory issues, anxiety, or learning needs that require accommodations for personal space and movement.

When students can feel comfortable in their learning space, they are better able to maintain attention and problem solve in a calm manner. Then the learning can begin!

My Project

The flexible seating will allow students a choice and a comfortable place to learn. Students are more motivated to engage in lessons when they can choose their work space and when they are comfortable.

Help give the students their own personal working space that is comfortable enough for them to become engrossed in learning.

The soft chairs can be placed anywhere in the classroom and can be for small groups, partner work, or just a personal space of their own. I am really hoping these chairs will create an inviting space for students to settle in and get excited about reading or writing!
