My Project

This project will help create an engaging, organized classroom where students can actively participate in learning rather than simply listen.

During math lessons and whole-group reading, whiteboards, dry-erase markers, and erasers will allow every student to solve problems, share their thinking, and receive immediate feedback.

Highlighters will help students practice finding text evidence and becoming stronger readers, while pens will allow them to reflect on their work and learn from feedback.

Our classroom is also a place where students build relationships and celebrate one another. Rubber ducks will be used during our morning meeting "Lucky Ducks" where students are picked each morning to encourage students to celebrate accomplishments, practice speaking skills, and build a positive classroom community. Students learn to lead this Good News. Skin-tone markers and paper will allow students to represent themselves during activities like our classroom contract handprints, reminding every child that they belong and have a voice in our classroom.

Creative supplies like the makerspace cart, markers and beads will support student expression through art projects and friendship bracelet activities that encourage kindness, teamwork, and connection. Clipboards will give students the flexibility to work around the room, collaborate, and learn in different spaces. Headphones and storage pockets will help students stay focused during independent learning while keeping materials organized and accessible.

Other supplies, including whiteboard markers, erasers, and storage drawers, will help me keep lessons organized and ensure students have the materials they need throughout the year.
