This allows students to read a book of interest at their own pace while still allowing me to hold them accountable for their understanding. By doing this, I can see their independent reading abilities. This has been their favorite reading task!\r\n\r\nI have a student who is quickly reading through the books that have been donated to our class. The books you have donated are going to give her some new options. She loves to read! You have impacted her learning in a great way. We worked together to number the pages and label each notebook for the subject that it would be used for. \r\n After numbering the pages, I was able to quickly monitor how students were writing in the notebooks as many will skip around the notebook and have a hard time finding the information that is needed.
