This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students come from low to middle-class income families. Our surrounding communities offer little to none of many sports programs affordable for our students. Our students strive to be better individuals and when they attend our school we give them the opportunity to learn, engage and excel in sports or Physical Education classes at school. We feel our students deserve better resources to be successful. Funding for athletics and physical education is difficult during these times and we feel our students deserve quality equipment to keep our programs going. SJH has served our community for many years and we want to continue providing a unique education and opportunities for our students.

My Project

The volleyballs will be used for our volleyball program. We want to give all students the ability to learn volleyball in hopes they will join as a team sport. Providing enough volleyballs for our team will provide enough opportunities for students to learn and engage in skills and drills. Currently, we are low on volleyball and do not have enough to teach for 20 students.

The volleyballs will give our programs the ability to hold a quality practice and provide for every athlete.

In order to help and promote we need enough quality equipment to teach. Volleyball is one of our most popular sports. Not every student believes they can be part of a team, so we strive to teach volleyball in all opportunities we offer.
