Help me give my students iPads to supplement the use of iReady ELA . These iPads will help students use the ELA applications that will help improve their reading comprehension as well as increase vocabulary acqusition.

My Students

Our 4th grade classroom is filled with students from a variety of backgrounds which contributes to our learning. We strive to develop personal relationships to build a classroom community of learning. My students love to ask questions, investigate new ideas and share with their classmates. I love how this will then generate new questions or ideas to investigate creating a cycle of learning that never ends.

My 4th graders work toward a goal of becoming lifelong learners who are not afraid to say they don't know yet but would like to learn more.

They work individually, in small groups and as a whole class.

My Project

These materials will provided the necessary technology to expand and implement all levels of the iReady Reading program. The iPads will allow my students to use the extension applications of the program which is only available to be utilized on iPads. The iPads also make learning portable so my students will be able to use them in many areas of the classroom .This will help my students improve their reading skills. They will also be able to focus on vocabulary acquistion of unfamiliar words as used in a variety of contexts; a skill that is vital to student growth in reading.
