My Students
I teach an amazing group of kindergarteners! My students have a thirst for knowledge and just love to learn! Each day presents unique opportunities to engage my students with new learning challenges. My classroom is a supportive and creative environment where the students take risks and learn to be active problem solvers. I work hard to ensure that my students feel at home in our classroom and work together like one big, happy school family. Help my students become future leaders!
My Project
Reading books aloud to students is at the heart of what we do in our classroom. Providing students with at least one quality book read aloud to them each day can be a challenge. It is crucial that the texts read across several days are connected to deepen the students' comprehension and way that they view books.
The books that we are asking for are connected by genre, theme, and author.
This collection includes eighteen books that will be read aloud to students throughout the school year. Some requested titles include A Visitor for Bear, I'm the Best, Cat's Colors, Red is a Dragon, Float, and The Snowman.
These books will provide students with rich opportunities to engage in a literature rich environment that will foster their thinking about new topics and ideas. Our students will learn how to critically understand, evaluate, and critique books in a manner that will support them as they become effective and efficient readers, writers, and thinkers.
