This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the last few years, we have noticed a trend of freezing weather and even snow for weeks at a time. Currently in Texas, it is winter in the morning and spring by the afternoon. Now makes it the perfect time to get prepared before the weather changes.
While some of my students have winter gear, others come to school unprepared for inclement weather.
We go outside every day as the children work on their social skills. The hats and gloves will have their names on them so they can use them at school. The extra jackets will be used at school for the students who do not have one. The blankets are for the children to take home.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
