Reading With My Lil’ Buddy

Help me give my students books, book bins, a sweeper, pencil sharpener, storage/organization tools, snacks, for the opportunity to spread kindness and the love of literacy to other students in the primary grades when they build book boxes for “Buddy Read” during snack time with friends.

My Project

My students love opportunities to read out loud. This project will provide them with the chance to read and improve their skills. It will also teach organization skills as they will prepare the book boxes and snacks with the requirements for each activity. The pencil sharpener and requested organizational/storage items will keep the books organized and the sweeper will help us to keep our space clean afterwards.

My goals are for my students to learn responsibility, empathy, organization and of course improve their reading ability.

My students are special because they are very diverse and eager to learn more from each other. They are in older grades (3-5) and will Buddy with the younger grades.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
