I am able to conduct my small groups with the resources that are needed to so all students feel successful. We have begun purposeful highlighting and note-taking with sticky notes and blank paper strategies. \r\n\r\nStudents love coming to small group because the resources are fun and colorful. The rainbow colored writing pencils and the various colors of highlighters. Students understand that these are tools to accomplish our task for the day, but enjoy having the opportunity to use different color writing pencils to take their notes, or annotate in the text. Just providing a change in resources has made a huge impact on students participation and engagement in small group.
