My Project

Independent reading has become a greater challenge for many scholars simply because they do not have the ability to read on their own. This impacts their confidence to read making them dependent on an adult or an audio file to read to and for them. Thus my goal with this project is to provide students with motivation to not give up when they find it difficult to read independently, give them a few graphic novel options to help build their confidence, and provide them with some strategies to practice comprehension and analysis along the way. They will see that the more they practice, the easier it becomes for them to read without extra supports.
