This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are beautiful and brilliant. Our class consists of multi-level learners. Our school is a high-poverty, Title I school, meaning that 100% of our students receive free or reduced-priced lunch. Our school is located in a high-poverty neighborhood. My students work very hard every day. Our class has a 98% attendance rate, which means the students rarely miss school. We value our learning time.
My students come from multi-ethnic backgrounds, each with distinctive cultural traditions.
In our classroom, we blend our traditions to form strong community ties.
My Project
My students need materials from Teachers Pay Teachers to help them become better writers, mathematicians and readers. The activity stations will allow students to work on developing their foundational skills in reading and writing. It will give them other options to utilize during small group, centers, and reading intervention time. The composition books will allow a space for students to practice their writing. Students will be able to respond to prompts and complete a quick writing response. They will be able to reflect and see their growth in their journal The writing prompt boxes will allow students to gain ideas and activities to practice their writing.
