Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are bilingual students trying to not only learn the English language, but they are learning to be successful in their first language.
These engaging games and activities will not only help encourage my students to learn, but they will enjoy the learning process.
I have been reading the book, The Playful Classroom, and it has been motivating me to incorporate more fun games into our daily routines. I have to say I have really seen an improvement in their learning. I am trying to fill our year with more hands on learning. My goal is to have students reading on or above grade level before the end of the year. This year with the larger class size I feel I have to have more options for the students. I will be giving the students more freedom in their choices such as, in their stations, picking their partners, and with these games I can provide choices for them.
