Reading Champions of the Future!

My students need exciting grade level chapter books in our classroom library.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The student body at our school consists of approximately ninety-five percent high-poverty and at-risk students. Many of my students will be the first of their family to graduate from high school and/or college. They are hungry for knowledge and excited to learn new things.

I see potential in all students and my goal is to help them experience academic success.

My students love the opportunity to practice new skills taught in reading. One of my favorite quotes is “The more you read the more things you know. The more that you learn the more places you'll go."

-Dr. Seuss

My Project

The reading materials will help my students develop a love and an excitement for reading. The variety of reading books will reach my students different interest. My goal for my class is to make reading something they look forward to doing everyday.

Having a library of exciting books will help my students become reading champions of the future!

By providing them with many types of chapter books, they will develop great vocabulary skills, stamina (that will help with standardize test) and their comprehension will improve . The books will help me create an innovative classroom to stimulate their minds for reading.
