Help me give my students stuffed animals to use as calming tools and reading buddies.

My Project

My newcomer immigrant students look forward to coming to school everyday ready to learn. I would love to be able to give the a stuffed animal to use as a reading buddy. The stuffed animals will also be used in our calming corner where students go when they need to regulate or just some quiet time.

Many of my newcomer immigrant students come to school overwhelmed.

The stuffed animals will really help them to have a calming tool.

I try to keep my students engaged throughout the day. The animals will be an excellent for my English language learners and newcomers. They will be able to read to an animal and feel comfortable doing so. They will be able to practice their language skills and role-play. Students develop oral language skills through play.
