My Students

I teach 7th and 8th grade special education students in the subject of English Language Arts. They are dedicated to improve their reading and writing abilities. Each day I come to school eager to teach these students and see the smiles on their faces.

My students want to become as independent as possible after high school and also reach their goals.

I believe that all students can achieve their goals in all aspects in life no matter what! Life is an everyday joy!

My Project

These reading books will be great additions to my classroom. I asked my students what they would like to read in my classroom and they wrote in their daily journal a book they want to read in my classroom for independent reading time in my class. Increasing their reading skills will greatly help with my students confidence and gain their reading level and skills. These books were selected by students individually and will give the students ownership. My students often fill left out from their peers and do not get a chance to read what they would like to read when they get the opportunity to do so. Please give them that opportunity!
