Help me give my students a reading and creating corner in my classroom. Students can use the flex seating to go and create their works of art, or read books if they have finished early.
My students are eager to learn about the arts and different types of mediums and how they can mix that with other content areas. These students are from low-income families, and might not have access to these materials at home, or to bring to school with them. Art allows the students to express themselves in ways that words will not allow. These basic materials will help students learn, grow and experiment in class. Having a warm welcoming place for students to create is very important!
Having access to materials for all students to use no matter what their financial status is imperative to creating equal learning opportunities.
Help create a choice based friendly environment for our students to continue learning! Students will be able to choose what mediums they want to use on projects. Having an access to a variety of mediums will allow students to be expressive in their art.

Having access to materials for all students to use no matter what their financial status is imperative to creating equal learning opportunities. I would love to be able to have a creating and reading corner in my classroom for students who finish early. In my classes, we have a mix of regular education students, EL students, as well as special education students. These materials will be great to use with our diverse mix of students.

It will maintain student engagement, help those creative juices flow, and be the inspiration they might need for the day. Students will know they have a quiet, comfortable corner to go to if they are working hard and want to explore!
