Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items in my project will help me to create a love and enjoyment for reading. My students love listening to stories and they’ve grown fondness towards certain characters like Pete the cat and Penelope Rex. They are 3 years old so at the moment we’re modeling that reading can be fun and exciting.

I find that if the students are familiar with a character they are willing and ready and actively listen to the story.

They get excited and anticipate what their favorite character will go through next in the new books.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
