Reach the World Through Chromebooks!

Help me give my students Chromebooks to be able to access the world.

My Students

My fantastic 27 fourth grade students come from a very large geographical area. Our elementary school feeds into three different intermediate schools. We either qualify for or just miss qualifying for being a Title 1 school every year. My students are wonderful students who want to learn. Two years ago our district shut down for Covid-19 in the spring. We sent home Chromebooks with our fourth grade students for long distant learning. Unfortunately, many of the Chromebooks returned cracked or broken beyond repair. We have just missed being a Title 1 school for two years now and we have no extra funds to replace our broken Chromebooks. This year we have had many students stay home with another strain of Covid, but we are unable to send home Chromebooks. If they have no computer in their home, they miss out on learning.

My students want to be successful 21'st Century learners, but Covid has placed a major handicap on their learning.

Missing many days of school has put many of them behind. They are trying the best they can, but as their teacher I am seeing many gaps in their learning and I am very concerned.

My Project

Students who are quarantined at home due to Covid-19 will be able to check out a Chromebook to access school assignments while recuperating at home. Also, students who have fallen behind can use these Chromebooks in class to catch up on assignments.

These Chromebooks will improve the lives of my students!

Research projects will become easier with access to the world through the internet. These Chromebooks will also access excellent education sites which will improve student learning and overall scores. Local historic sites and landmarks will be able to be accessed, teaching students about their local history. In summary, these Chromebooks will be a great addition to our classroom and students.
