My Students

I am a special education teacher who has recently started working with students in our district's 18-22 year old transition program. I assist them with learning critical skills they will need to gain meaningful employment in their community upon graduation. Students are involved in work based training activities in businesses throughout their neighborhood.

My students learn best through hands-on activities.

They actively participate in all aspects of our program; in-class activities, community based job training, and community experiences. We have been learning about and visiting organizations within our community.

My Project

Our student made greeting cards were a hit for Christmas! We had no idea how popular the cards would be but we had over 140 cards ordered! We plan to continue with card creations for many other events and needs (birthday, thank you, etc.).

By donating to our project, you will help us purchase materials needed to help our business boom and increase exposure to the greeting cards.

The display racks and lock boxes will allow students to post greeting cards for sale in our school buildings! A weekly job will also be created so that students can check and restock inventory.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
