Ms. Villano from Washington DC is requesting a classroom visitor through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students an interactive petting zoo experience! We will be visited by "Squeals on Wheels," who will give us the opportunity to learn about and pet numerous animals, including rabbits, chinchillas, and a bearded dragon!

Our pre-kindergarten program is full of curious, imaginative, joyful, and inquisitive 3 through 5 year olds! We love hands-on, multi-sensory experiences that allow us to come up close and personal with our learning.
Our public school, located in the District of Columbia, serves 100% low-income, minority students.
We use DonorsChoose to bring new learning experiences, from field trips to art materials, to our students, classroom, and school. We can't wait to share all of our projects and adventures with you!
A visit from "Squeals on Wheels" will be the perfect kick-off for our spring study about living things. A visitor will come to our pre-kindergarten program and teach us all about furry, feathered, and scaly creatures. We'll be given the opportunity to use gentle hands to pet a variety of creatures. These animals include rabbits, chinchillas, ducks, chickens, a bearded dragon, a tortoise, and a hedgehog. We have no doubt that our students will beam with delight and amazement at these furry friends! We'll use the experience as a learning opportunity to build vocabulary words (like soft, rough, scaly, bumpy, and fuzzy) and practice the social-emotional skills of turn-taking and using gentle hands.
