Upon entering the classroom the students were so excited to see the instruments. I could hear them say, \"Where did this come from?\" We can play on these?\" This is for us!\" \"Wow! The students were made aware of your contributions. They recognized that people they didn't know felt that they were deserving of instruments and special. Their facial expressions and examples of pure joy were priceless.\r\n\r\nWe discussed the instrument names and through exploration the students discovered how sound was produced on each. The Lessons were performance based to include winter holiday selections with a focus in the area of steady beat vs rhythm. The instruments were used to perform the steady beat and rhythms.
