The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will help shape their critical thinking skills. I am requesting 2 iPads (refurbished) and 2 Spheros. These items are needed in order for my students to learn coding and programming. We can load the programming apps and use the Sphero to inspire curiosity, creativity, and invention through connected play and coding. But the Sphero is much more than a robot. We will use it with the iPad to easily learn programming and complete hands-on activities. By implementing a STEM center in the classroom, my students will begin to see themselves as true engineers and scientist. As a teacher, I have done some research and reading on the importance of STEM technology. This donation will assist in closing the gap.
