My Project

Our gifted and talented students work on a variety of projects throughout the year. We will be working on creating a quilt for Black History Month. We also are working on creating a school newspaper.

Projects that encourage creativity and independent study help our students feel ownership of their learning.

To complete our quilt project we need wool and felt. Students will research people, event, organizations and places. They will create an image based on their research. Students use a felt threading technique to design create a design. For our school newspaper, we need 11x17 copy paper. This larger size paper allows us to have more articles. Students choose the subject matter they write about. Our school newspaper includes, puzzles, interviews, opinions, reviews, current events, and art. The gifted and talented class is responsible for writing and creating all of the articles. All students at our school receive a copy. Your support can help us complete these projects.
