Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are kindergarten through 6th graders who are full of energy. They visit the computer lab once per week for a scheduled special. A select group of 3rd-5th graders come every morning for 90 minutes to participate in enrichment. All of our students are all doing their best in a post-pandemic world. The students have adapted to the challenges thrown at them this past year and are not only surviving but thriving in this very different environment. My students come from very diverse backgrounds. They love reading diverse books, participating in maker space activities and STEM challenges, and are very curious. Older students enjoy acting as mentors to younger students in our school. There are over 1,400 students in our school! I have a large population of English language learners. They are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of it. My students are both general and special education students. They are all amazing kids!

Water propel and sparkling ice drinks will help students quench their thirst when needed!

The water fountains are not sanitary and students can not learn if they are thirsty.

Cookies and pudding will be used as desserts at our upcoming Black History Month Celebration. At the celebration students will not only be able to taste should food, but also share their art work, have a musical performance and show what they know about notable black Americans through multiple class projects.
