My Students

My students are seeking adults who see value in their skills and their desires to contribute to the community. Naturally, being of high school age, they also recognize, although not always verbalized, their need for outside guidance and help. They’re seeking champions, be it parents, teachers, or the community, to help them in their pursuit of academic success—always confident that this will open doors to realizing their dreams.

One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching high school is the opportunity to witness the students' academic and personal growth.

With an eye on their goals, my students work hard and, upon reflection, learn that it is doing the “small” things with consistency and regularity that add up to be the big things—the success, achievement, recognition, etcetera. Unfortunately, all too many of my students find themselves in circumstances not of their making and all too often these impact their learning. In these occasions and when school resources are drained, the students are most in need of our help.

Your contribution is further proof positive that we are the individuals who do, in fact, make for a healthy and vibrant community.

My Project

Help students communicate more effectively during class and/or a student activity. Recent and ongoing events have hurried the integration of communication technologies be it distance learning, virtual learning, and/or teleconferences. Schools are learning how to include students who find themselves temporarily learning from home. Often this means students join a live class or activity via a phone call or a communications application like Zoom or Teams.

In these mixed attendance situations, a quality speaker phone is a necessity.

The Jabra Speak 710 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker allows for portability, simultaneous talking (full duplex), multiple participants (multiple microphones), and a crisp and clear speaker. With the Jabra Speak, I will be able to conduct class more effectively and the students who are attending remotely will be able to participate more fully.
