Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need manipulatives that not only support the academic aspect of their life but also their social emotional learning. My students need the soft squeeze animal set to learn about math concepts like counting and to provide sensory stimulation. In prek my students learn the most using hands on activities which is why the sensory beads are essential in our classroom, to give students opportunities to process their learning. These activities will help my students to develop learning skills needed to solve problems in their every day lives.

Manipulatives like social emotional match ups, and the all kinds of families will help my students develop not only math skills but expand their vocabulary and understand to look at the world through a critical thinking lense by exploring differences and similarities in different objects.

Activities like the gel bead emotional friends will help my students self-regulate and make them feel good about learning as well as learn about colors as they say the colors and what they are touching. With these manipulatives my students will be supported as a whole child.
