Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in the same neighborhood that I live in, so I know it is difficult for them to experience many things. It is a low socioeconomic area. My students really appreciate the experience they are given in the classroom with technology. They are a diverse group and are very excitable.

I have always been able to allow my students to experience different cultures, educational programs, typing skills, and just some stuff for fun using technology.

There are many students that do not have easy access to many books on their personal reading level. I have a library in the classroom, but it has been very difficult to store all different leveled books in a portable. Allowing the students to access reading materials at their personal reading level through the use of technology has been greatly beneficial. We would like to continue the use of technology by protecting and caring for the technology we now have.

My students are a close group. We have a very warm and caring community within our classroom. We are very excited for new and exciting adventures ahead.

My Project

These materials will make a big difference in keeping the technology protected and safe so we can continue to use these items for future classes.

The longer we can keep these items in good condition, the longer we can continue to allow future classes to have the same benefits of using them.

I want students to understand that taking care of technology is very important in keeping it in good condition so others will get to experience the joy that they have been given.

As a teacher, I teach more than just the basic school subjects. Learning to be respectful and concerned about the future and those yet to experience such things, is an important life lesson.
