Protecting Our Technology

Help me give my students iPad cases, head phones, power strips, handwriting tools, and other classroom necessities.

My Project

Our first grade was fortunate to receive a grant to purchase iPads for our classes. Now we need covers to help protect this valuable resource. Our students are usually limited to 30 minutes a week spent in the computer lab at school. Now we will be able to access learning programs from our classroom. Six and seven year olds, however, are not always careful. The cases will be especially helpful to ensure the new iPads last as long as possible.

Along with the iPad covers, we need charging capabilities and headphones.

Two 12 outlet power strips will charge all of our iPads, both old and new. Ten new headphones will add enough for each student to have a pair to use.

The handwriting tools I’m requesting will help my students who struggle with pencil grip, letter formation and spacing. Upon advice from our school’s occupational therapist, I have asked for several handwriting tools to help those students including a variety of grips and paper liners. Classroom tools and art supplies round out the list.
