My Students

My students are fun-loving and eager to learn. I am an occupational therapist and I work with special education students in a Title I school. I work with students ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade. The majority of my students are below grade level in math, reading, and writing. The majority of my students come from low-income households and have limited supplies and technology at home.

My Project

I am an occupational therapist and I work together with my students on many skills to achieve their goals. Some of the various skills that I work on with my students on is social skills and stress management skills, along with improving their fine motor skills, visual perceptual skills, and visual motor skills. I often work together with my students in small groups, and I try to target this when my students are working collaboratively together on an activity. Puzzles are a great way to help with a child's development and growth, and work on these important skills.

These puzzles will give my students an opportunity to engage in fun activities with other students so they can work on improving their social skills and give them strategies to target stress management.

As an occupational therapist I strongly believe that students learn best when they are motivated and excited about the activity. With these puzzles, my students will be able to work on their social skills and stress management skills in a fun and exciting way! They will hopefully be able to carryover the skills they learn in the therapy room to real life situations! Please help me provide my students with this opportunity!
