Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a relatively new K-5 public school! This is our 11th year to be open. As a new school we have a beautiful building, but at times empty shelves. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Although we are not classified as a Title I school, we have students from all different economic backgrounds including homeless and extended stay families. Our students are hard workers and we have high expectations for each of them. Meeting their individual needs and giving them a safe, loving place to learn is my goal for this school year.

My Project

These positive trinkets and incentives will help encourage my students to do their best! I want to refill our classroom treasure chest for the students. Having the extra supplies helps me to remember to "catch students being good" more often and acknowledge their accomplishments.

I love how a small trinket can light up a kid's world for a moment.

I know my students will love the LED glasses, Play-doh, Slime, sticky hands, and light up rings.

Please help me spread the joy in our class.
