The SEL books help my students learn about feelings, emotions, friendship, sharing, kindness, and making positive choices in a way that is easy for young children to understand. As we read together, we practice identifying emotions, answering simple questions, learning new vocabulary, making choices, and connecting the stories to our own classroom experiences. These books also give my students opportunities to practice communication and social skills through pictures, repetition, gestures, and discussion.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is interactive and hands-on. Students enjoy looking at the pictures, turning pages, listening to stories, pointing to familiar characters and objects, and participating in repeated phrases and simple questions. The Harry Potter books add another exciting opportunity to build imagination, listening skills, attention, and a love of stories. Even when students are not yet able to read independently, they can engage with the characters, pictures, themes, and storytelling. For my students, these books create meaningful opportunities to build early literacy and communication skills while making reading a fun and enjoyable part of our day.\r\n\r\nI am so grateful to our donors for providing these wonderful books. Your generosity is helping us create a classroom library where every child can find something engaging and develop a positive relationship with books and learning.","fullyFundedDate":1786117662424,"projectUrl":"project/magical-reading-adventuresa-complete-ha/10358283/","projectTitle":"Magical Reading Adventures:A Complete Harry Potter Library for Our Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rajendran","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9526287_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1714784556238","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9526287"},{"teacherId":1894664,"projectId":9474997,"letterContent":"You'd be amazed at the difference a snack can make. My snack box is always filled and ready for each and every student. With budgets being tightened, more and more students come in hungry and with their hunger comes frustration and distractions.
