My students need a Lego Mindstorms Education EV3 Core Set so that we can improve our programming and coding skills, and books on programming the EV3 brick to guide us in developing our skills.

My Students
We have a chant in our classroom. Teacher says: You were made to be... Students reply with: AWESOME! Students in my special education classroom struggle every day with not only academics, but behavior, and also self-confidence. They face struggles in and out of the classroom, and the odds are stacked against us. Together, we face high poverty, being bilingual, and having learning disabilities.
Together, we learn to overcome every obstacle that stands in our way so we can achieve great successes.
We use perseverance, teamwork, and lessons that have life-long relevance so that we can stand on our own and be able to face any challenge that comes our way.
My Project
This is my third year coaching Lego Robotics. Each year we have improved our skills in coding, programming, and working together as a team. One thing that would really help our team, is additional Lego Mindstorms EV3 robots.
Students on our lego robotics team need hands on practice with the lego Mindstorms EV3 robots.
In order to practice coding and programming, students need more access to the robots. When students are in smaller groups, they get more time with the robot, and get more time with hands on, practical skills, that they will be able to take with them to their future careers!
Students are more engaged when given hands on supplies. The Lego Mindstorms EV3 robot will be used to program, code, used in after school program, used in regional and state competition, and used during recess. Students get so excited to program that they ask to come in during recess to program! With our recent acclaims, we want to continue to grow programmers to shape students' futures!
I was in lego robotics in high school, and I hope that students will continue on in robotics into their future school careers, by building that excitement now! Now is the time.
