The new rug, pillows, book bins, and activity materials have made the library both comfortable and organized, allowing students to easily choose books and settle in for independent or partner reading. Puzzles, Jenga, and Legos are used after checkout or as a reward, encouraging collaboration, problem-solving, and positive social interactions. Many students who were previously wandering around the library are now choosing the cozy corner to read or interact positively with peers.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were beyond excited and eager to use the space right away. They described the library as \"calm,\" \"happy,\" \"colorful,\" and \"comfortable,\" and it has quickly become a favorite spot. Moving forward, we will continue using the cozy corner as part of our daily library routine by building reading stamina, sharing book recommendations, and participating in small-group discussions. Thank you for helping us create a cozy library space that truly brings books to life and supports both learning and well-being.","fullyFundedDate":1759966940727,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-books-to-life-with-cozy-spaces/9688466/","projectTitle":"Bringing Books to Life with Cozy Spaces","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Medina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9158751"},{"teacherId":5946167,"projectId":9890548,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity. My students were absolutely thrilled when opening the boxes that contained the materials. We spent some time discussing the things that we could do with these materials, and one day we had a great opportunity to spend some time talking about our goals in life. We discussed different places that we could explore around the world, and we used the globes to help us locate those places. Students then had the opportunity to show on a map the places they would enjoy seeing and exploring in person. We all had an amazing time learning from one another, and it was an excellent learning opportunity. Share a specific classroom project or moment.\r\n\r\nMy students and I have been using the new resources every day, and they've already transformed the way we learn. One of our favorite projects so far has been a hands-on collaborative activity where students used the materials to rotate through learning stations. Each station focused on a different skill—problem-solving, reading comprehension, creative exploration—and students were fully engaged the entire time. One memorable moment was watching a group of students confidently take charge of their station and teach their peers using the new tools; it was a powerful example of how these resources promote teamwork and independence.\r\n\r\nHow did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\n\r\nTheir faces lit up! Many of them immediately asked, \"Are these for us?!\" They were excited, curious, and eager to dive in. Several students who are usually a bit more reserved became noticeably more confident when they realized these materials would help them explore lessons in a hands-on, accessible way. The excitement in the room created a wave of energy that carried into the rest of the day.\r\n\r\nWhat are the next steps for your students on a current classroom lesson or project?\r\n\r\nOur next step is to deepen their learning by applying these materials to a longer-term project. Students will now be using the resources to create small group presentations that show their understanding of the concepts we're studying. They'll plan, build, and demonstrate their ideas using the new tools, which will help them develop not only academic skills, but also communication, collaboration, and creative thinking. I'm excited to see how much further they will grow with the support of these resources.","fullyFundedDate":1758816447591,"projectUrl":"project/voices-rising-empowering-english-learne/9583215/","projectTitle":"Voices Rising: Empowering English Learners Through Language","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Olivares","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9173371_orig.jpg?crop=652,652,x0,y52&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724956382464","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9173371"},{"teacherId":9173371,"projectId":9003687,"letterContent":"I want to extend my deepest thanks for your generous support and the thoughtful donations you provided to our classroom. Your contributions — including snacks, a teacher table, writing materials, and technology — have made a tremendous difference in our daily learning experience.\r\n\r\nThanks to the snacks you provided, our students have been able to stay energized and focused throughout the day. For many of them, having access to something nourishing during class has helped them better engage in lessons and feel more comfortable in their learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe new teacher table has been a game-changer for both instruction and classroom organization. It's provided a functional and welcoming space for small group instruction, one-on-one support, and a more organized approach to daily lessons and materials.\r\n\r\nThe writing materials have sparked creativity and enthusiasm among our students. From journaling to story writing and classroom assignments, these supplies have allowed students to express themselves more freely and develop stronger writing habits.\r\n\r\nLastly, the technology you donated has opened doors to more interactive and personalized learning. Whether we're using educational apps, researching topics, or practicing skills, our students are gaining valuable tech experience and staying engaged in ways that truly support their growth.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has created a more supportive, stimulating, and well-rounded classroom environment — one where students feel seen, supported, and inspired to learn.\r\n\r\nFrom all of us, thank you for making this possible.
