Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach science at a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunches. I have 95 amazing students per day, and very few of them have had an in-depth STEM education. They are eager to learn, and 85 percent of their day is reading, writing, and math.

Project-based learning is what keeps them motivated and wanting to learn more.

These 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students can do amazing things! During this crazy time, my students are looking forward to getting back into the classroom and creating something amazing!

My Project

I teach and learn with a fantastic group of about 100 junior scientists each day. They look forward to science as a class that they can create, explore and experiment. Labs and project-based learning are key to successfully teaching students how to solve problems in their own lives.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help my students become problem solvers!

Having a lab with adequate supplies is expensive. However, watching a group of students create intricate models, draw detailed graphs, and take ownership of their own learning is priceless.

The lapel microphones will allow my students to create professional presentations to demonstrate their knowledge of space, biology, and our Earth. When students are able to create, they reinforce learning in a fun and engaging way.
