The aprons were definitely a hit with the kids—they were so excited to have their own to wear during projects. Personally, I was thrilled about the new drying racks, which have already made such a difference in keeping our workspace organized. Every time we paint, the students rush over to pick their favorite color, and the pastels have been wonderful for blending—we even created a school-wide collaborative poster with them!\r\n\r\nThe students were especially eager to try out the new watercolor paper, and they couldn't wait to get creative with it. As we move into the next part of our art journey, we're preparing to make decorations for our upcoming winter concert. On behalf of everyone at Mesquite, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our donors for their generous contributions. Your support has truly made a difference in our classroom and has inspired our students to keep creating with excitement and pride.","fullyFundedDate":1746451488542,"projectUrl":"project/brushes-colors-dreams-fund-the-future/9155707/","projectTitle":"Brushes, Colors, Dreams: Fund the Future of Art!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Guzman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9719883_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y161&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1740063067634","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9719883"},{"teacherId":3151621,"projectId":9120745,"letterContent":"My students were super excited to receive our new tubano drums at the end of last school year, but sad they had to wait until August to begin using them. They love when the tubano drums come out, because it mease something fun will be happening during class. They know they have to share the drums, but with two new tubano drums, my students won't have to wait as long for a turn at the drum.\r\n\r\nWhile all of my students will benefit from our new tubano drums, I plan on using them the most with my sixth grade classes. Sixth grade music classes will spend part of the school year practicing rhythms from around the world. They're goal is to be able to place together six independent rhythm parts to create a groove inspired by different countries. Outside of music skills, the sixth graders will also focus on learning about respect, discipline, and teamwork when creating the rhythm grooves.\r\n\r\nI can't wait to get started with my students this school year using the drums. I know they will have a great time creating their grooves.","fullyFundedDate":1746482661027,"projectUrl":"project/world-drumming-exploration/9120745/","projectTitle":"World Drumming Exploration!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tromm","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3151621_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1473303115122","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/m-tromm"},{"teacherId":9874446,"projectId":9007335,"letterContent":"Thank you for making this project possible. My small group interactions has been more easier when using the table white board when giving instructions to my students. Students love using their white boards when practicing writing their sight words and simple sentences. I love the white cart because I have easier access to all coursework that I need for daily instruction. Also the black pocket organizer is useful because I store the books or vocabulary cards that I need for instruction. Having material close by is beneficial because I don't waste instruction time and have students engage at all times. I can't wait to use the cap and gown to take a memorable picture to all my students.","fullyFundedDate":1739373524689,"projectUrl":"project/first-year-teacher/9007335/","projectTitle":"First Year Teacher","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Camacho","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9874446"},{"teacherId":6183382,"projectId":9101737,"letterContent":"Sending you a very heartfelt thank you letter from our students here at Mesquite Elementary School Library. They introduce our students to essential skills such as critical thinking, comprehension, and empathy.
