Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher, I strive to provide my students with a hands on and fun education that addresses all of their learning needs and abilities. We are a Title I school, with very low income and my class is made up of a variety of needs, backgrounds and abilities.

I have a class of 28 adorable 1st graders in the Bronx.

Many of my students have IEP's and receive services throughout the school day. So in our classroom, I need to be able to present content in different ways for each learner to really be able to grow!

My Project

When teaching little ones, teaching them how to behave and follow model behavior is beyond important. It can be difficult for them to be motivated to do the right thing, so in our school we have many ways to track their behavior and teach them how to be model students.

These sweet treats and prizes with enhance my prize box, giving the kids even more incentive to do the right thing!

I have a prize box that I use throughout the day to reward and praise positive behavior and choices. All of the candy and toys I have chosen will give the children a wide variety of choices when they are rewarded!
