My Project

In my classroom, we use 2 programs for behavior. The first is ClassDojo.com, and this is where I track student behavior. Each month, students start with 0 points, and they can earn points for a variety of reasons. For example -- for being an outstanding classroom leader, for helping a friend in need without being asked, staying on task, getting a compliment from another teacher, or for being a PAX Leader. PAX is the other behavior program we use, and it teaches students what it means to be a class leader. Each Friday, we track our class dojo points for a variety of awards. Below is the list of awards that students get based on their Dojo points.

• 15 points- Stuffed animal on desk

• 25 points - Extra Computer time

• 30 points- Desk swap

• 35 points-Teacher chair for the day

• 40 points- Prize box

• 60 points- Free Book!!

• 100 Points- Lunch with Ms. Root and a friend

Typically, each year teachers in my district get $150-$200 to spend in their classroom for operational uses. This year, due to budget cuts from the state of New Mexico, our district teachers are not receiving any funding. I am looking for donations so that I can provide prizes to my students who earn enough ClassDojo points to pick a prize. Thank you for considering and/or donating to my project.
