Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My art students are curious learners! These supplies will help them to explore printmaking by combining block printing with cyanotype, lithograph and many other techniques. They will explore positive and negative space, carving simple designs into blocks, then transfer the images to paper through pressure and ink. Cyanotype introduces them to light-sensitive printing, where sunlight creates bold blue images, while lithographs show how drawings can be printed from flat surfaces. Learning these processes builds their creativity, patience, and an understanding of how such images can be repeated, transformed, and printed.
